From Russia’s Far East to South Korea. Back to real Asia. Nevertheless, a travel thru a country rather unusual to us.
7 days, nearly 4000km thru Siberia and the Russian Far East. Good roads, endless forests and weather getting increasingly rainy. But also a visit to lost villages and towns spread, breathing still the spirit of the good old Soviet Union.
Ulaan Bataar – Mongolia’s capital. On to Russia, westwards to Lake Baikal and Irkutsk, Siberia’s very own Venice.
Mass tourism in Mongolia? You wouldn’t believe it. But it’s reality. It’s Nadaam time. A tribute to some rather unusual days in Mongolia’s remote countryside.
In June 2017 we travelled in 22 days through China – from Lao (Mohan border) to Mongolia (Ehrenhot). A total of approx. 5’600km. Here some practical information about the journey.
