A last kitschy pic from the terrace, a last night in our rather cheap deluxe accommodation – and we’re on the way to Mazatlán’s city center. Just 1 day left to El Dia de los Muertos. It’s the day of 1 of Mexico’s most important celebrations rooting in the country’s ancient Aztek culture. The very…
Back to Mexico’s Baja California. The trip with the ferry from La Paz to Los Mochis in Sinaloa. Then along the coast to Mazatlan.
Imagine. You’re enjoying beautiful summer in sunny’n’hot Swizzyland.
Continuing southwards on Baja California. Beautiful beaches – at least to look at them. La Paz and the very special case of Los Cabos and getting ready to fly back to Swizzyland. Que lastima!
Finally we’re out of the US. Drive down Mexico’s Baja California. A long stretch thru the desert, some interesting towns, many desperate villages and some beaches. The latter – maybe we’ve expected a bit more.
Thru Arizona’s desert to southern California. Canyon the Chelly, Petrified Forest NP. On to San Diego and towards the Mexican Border.
Driving to the west. Leaving Route 66 for Santa Fe and Taos, then crossing New Mexico’s desert to sleepy Farmington.
Turning westwards. Direction of San Diego in California. Thru weird places in America’s most conservative area and approaching famous Route 66. Finally astonished why everybody hypes up Route 66.
America’s south. Lively New Orleans, rather sleepy Memphis. Along the Mississippi River. On the traces of eventful episodes of American history. Events still strongly influencing todays life.
Crossing Texas from West to East. Strange towns, a weird city and finally a great idea on how to continue our trip. Thank you, NASA for the support.
