From Swizzyland’s harsh winter to the hot’n’humid Philippines. A month later than planed – bullshit happens. After a short stop in Manila, it’s on to Busuanga Island for sun, sea’n’snorkeling. What else could it be.
The long journey thru Swizzyland, Germany, and Denmark to reach southern Norway. About 2000km on mostly bland highways, but with a few highlights along the way. Prepare to be surprised.
Hibernation is definitely over. We have to get used to our on-going trip. In Switzerland? No problem
Winter in Laufaburg, Swizzyland. Cold, cloudy, no incredible sensations, politics as usual, the local tribes celebrating their ever same rituals and Hähnle, our beloved watering hole gets ready for us by May only. No reason to maintain jealousy.
No annual leave at the Mediterranean hotspots. Instead incredibly dangerous alpine roads, views of more mountains than we could imagine and slowly getting used to the high altitude we’ll have in Tibet, China.
On 12th November 2015 we were back to Laufaburg for hibernation. This especially due to the omniscient prediction of some of these famous East Siberian meteorologists competent to forecast weather for the next 6 months – at least.
On 16th June finally we were ready to head eastwards to find the starting point for the famous Silk Road. Effectively there are many theories about the place this ancient trading route should start from.
Spring approaches, hibernation has to take an end. After endless weeks of incredible winter weather, temperatures below 0, snow storms, ice covered landscapes and a huge bill for heating our flat, spring approaches. And finally our 1st sign after hibernation.
