Our journey from Bolivia’s capital, Sucre to Potosi, and Uyuni, to finally reach Tupiza. A trip thru fascinating highlands, often above 4000m. Then onwards to Salta in Argentina.

Leaving western Brazil to visit Bolivia’s lowlands and then up to Sucre. The country’s proud capital. A journey thru a vastly different world: Bolivia’s Chiquitqnia with the Jesuit Trail, Samaipata at the edge of the Andes, and finally the drive to Sucre.
The long journey from Minas Gerais to the Pantanal. Diamantina, another mining village. Brasilia, the proud capital. Then thru endless agricultural land to Campo Grande and Bonito in the southern part of the Pantanal.
Out of Rio de Janeiro, on the way to Minas Gerais. Brazil’s mining area. A journey thru fascinating towns that accumulated immense wealth during Brazil’s gold rush. Then on to the proud capital of Belo Horizonte.
Our journey along Brazil’s Costa Verde to finally reach Rio de Janeiro. A detour to Brazil’s most kitschy village, Campos de Jordão. A visit to a car doctor for Prado in Paraty, and finally Rio.
We’re about to leave Atacama Desert. A visit to Chile’s most colourful’n’chaotic town: Valparaiso, on to its proud Capital Santiago, then over the Cordillera to Mendoza in Argentina. To taste some Malbec.
Entering the north of Chile to visit San Pedro de Atacama. Then the long and not too spectacular drive thru the Atacama Desert to reach the famous Elqui Valley. The center of Chile’s Pisco production.
Out of Uyuni to the formerly richest town in South America: Potosi. There a visit to 1 of the most infamous mines in the world. On to beautiful Tarija and to Argentina’s Tilcara.
Finally a new country: Bolivia. From Copacabana at Lake Titicaca thru the highland, passing La Paz and Oruro to reach Uyuni. Then a tour of 3 days to visit the salt flats and the desert towards the border with Chile.
A week in Perú’s Valle Sagrado. To visit some more sites of the Incas and other sights. Still in a tourist hotspot. Nevertheless, not as bad s Cusco or Machu Picchu.
