Leaving Paraguay, entering Argentina, and on to Brazil’s south. To visit world-famous Iguazú Falls, then cruising thru the hills towards the Atlantic coast. A journey thru Brazil’s wealthiest agricultural land, peculiar villages founded by Germans or Austrians, and our 1st experience with a Portuguese-speaking country.
Paraguay’s greatest tourist attraction: Carnival. After that our journey thru rural Paraguay, making our way to its somewhat grim capital, Asunción, and on towards Ciudad del Este.
About 1500km to reach Paraguay. A journey thru western Uruguay along the homonymous river. Then into Argentina’s northernmost part. This region leaves a rather poor impression despite the vast pastures and reforestations. It’s mainly a drive thru flat, sparsely populated land to finally reach Encarnacion in Paraguay. The Argentinian dream of a shopper’s paradise.
Nearly 1 year back to Europe. Of course, not always at home. Nevertheless, somewhen it’s enough. On 9th of January we arrive again in Montevideo, Uruguay.
